Low moods
Low moods, it happens to us all, right? We wake up one day and we have this nagging feeling that something is not ok.
We don’t know why, but we feel tension and sensitivity, it’s like any minute you can easily burst in tears or start a rоw. And we really want to feel better and maybe we even have some sort of “putting myself in a better mood” strategy. It could be going to the gym, swimming, dancing, singing, walk in a park, listening to music, meditation and so on. Most of the time, activities like these are really helpful.
But then what if at the moment of experiencing the low mood, the negative state of mind we don’t have access to our “better mood” strategy activities.
For example, we may be at work or as the current situation – in isolation at home. Most of the time, the pressure in our body increases, even more, when we are deprived of the opportunity to execute our “escape plan”. We start searching for answers, for reasons. Of course, our human being nature looks for the answer outside.
Pointing fingers
We may even start pointing fingers or even initiate a confrontation only to justify the way we feel. For what is worth, to be able to say – “Yes, that is, that’s why I feel this way”. So yes, we might receive some kind of an answer but the price we pay is most likely to be too high – losing a friend, a spouse, or hurting them with no valid reason.
Has it happened to you before? To burst out, say things that you regret shortly after the scene? Often the only thing that stops you saying sorry immediately is your Ego and once mind settles down you start realising what is really important to you and how you’ve been under the complete influence of your emotions.
Where your moods are coming from?
Have you ever wanted to know a bit more about where your moods and emotions are coming from? Wouldn’t it be just awesome if we could be more alert and sense the danger coming, stopping it before it turns to a devastating communication?
If you’ve been thinking about it, my friend, I can assure you you are not alone. There are so many people out there having the same problem and wanting to raise their level of emotional intelligence.
It is not easy, but the good news is, it is definitely possible. If you want to learn something new and exciting today, keep reading…
Let me try to share what I found out to be true for myself…
I’ve heard the idea from Sydney Banks, the man behind the understanding of the Three Principles.
All emotions, moods as well are coming from thought.
Sounds simple, isn’t?
So simple we might miss it and not pay attention to it even. However, it contains such power.
At first, it was only a nice idea for me but once I saw what it really means, my whole experience of life began changing.
You know my friends if we start looking for justifying reasons outside of us we’re going to find them. But the only thing we are doing this way is to fool ourselves. We create illusionary reason and the worst part is that we start believing it to be true and acting in accordance with it.
But do you know where is the reason for sure…?
It is inside of you, nowhere else, in the depths of your soul, behind the noise of personal thought.
If you only have a glimpse of this truth – thoughts create emotions, you will find peace.
It is always the same, regardless of the situation, it is always thought.
Do you want to know the exact thought that makes you experience a low mood? I’m afraid if you try to analyse and use your intellectual mind you will lose yourself in assumptions and hypothesis, none of them true.
So many thoughts
It is scientifically proven we have between 60 000 – 90 000 thoughts crossing our minds per day. How can you imagine finding one specific thought or even a group of thoughts responsible for your emotional state at the moment? We know what happens when we start digging, we end up feeling even more helpless and miserable.
But in all that said I hope you will notice the hope. The hope that all of these thoughts whether conscious or unconscious are passing by. Therefore they change. On themselves. The only thing that can keep a negative thought in your consciousness is if you are interested in it and put your focus on it.
Where your intention goes, energy flows.
That’s the paradox of the nature of thought. When we have a low mood we believe we have to do something but actually we can make it even worse. But when we find that stillness inside of us and just let it be, let it pass, give it the permission to go through our body and mind, informs us of whatever it needs to inform us and continue its journey making space for the good, nice, positive thought to come.
We don’t have power over our thinking but we have the free will to choose where our focus goes.
So choose wisely, my friends. Learn to connect to the spiritual side of life. And one way for this to happen is by exploring the nature of the missing link between the physical and psychological – THOUGHT.
I’m sure you’re excited about the information I just shared. So I will finish my story here.
Take care, my friend, let me know your thoughts and feelings about what I’m sharing with you. I will be happy to know it.
